Beavers

Try new things. Make new friends. Joining Beavers is just the beginning of your big adventure.

Beavers is the youngest section of the Scouting family. The Beaver colony is made up of boys and girls aged between six and eight years old. Beavers at the 20th meet each week at our headquarters.

They get involved in a varied programme of activities, games and crafts including painting, drawing, cooking – all providing ample opportunity to let off steam, learn new skills, make new friends and have loads of fun!

Beavers can also obtain a variety of awards and badges such and the colony often takes part in sleepovers in exciting places like the tunnel of the Sealife Centre in Birmingham or even a zoo!

HM King Charles III has been confirmed as our new Patron, a great honour for UK Scouts.

The King continues a long tradition of the monarch giving their Patronage, dating back to 1912. This was when Scouts was granted its Royal Charter and HM George V became our first Patron.
