Scouts – 10½ to 14 years

Jump in and get muddy. Scouts ignore the butterflies and go for it, and soon so will you.

Scouts is great at building young people’s confidence and providing them skills which will benefit them for the rest of their life. Here at the 20th we love an adventure! We get stuck in with traditional scouting skills and gaining a wide variety of awards and badges. We also do loads of amazing activities, climbing, hiking, archery, pioneering, coasteering, caving, surfing and much more. We also become expert campers and learn to light and cook on fires and survive in the wild!

During the year we run two or three camps, the highlight of which is our week long summer camp held somewhere as remote as possible – a field with a pretty view usually!

HM King Charles III has been confirmed as our new Patron, a great honour for UK Scouts.

The King continues a long tradition of the monarch giving their Patronage, dating back to 1912. This was when Scouts was granted its Royal Charter and HM George V became our first Patron.
